Skills & Job Descriptions
- Provide on-site installation, validation and commissioning of VLM
- Perform hands-on on site troubleshooting, service and repairs
- Provide high level technical support to external customers at their location
- Provide on-site training to the customers
- Interface with cross functional work teams such as field applications,
- Customer support/services, product management, manufacturing and marketing/sales
- Develop Service technical documentation
- Create and maintain service information in the company enterprise database
- Timely and professionally handle field service calls and issues arising from the field service visits
- Timely complete and submit all required paperwork and vayak application
- Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions
- Misc. other duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Field Service Engineers
- They may need to go through blueprints, point out possible flaws in a plan and come up with proper procedures for installation.
- Another duty is to install and operate vlm at test sites to make sure the product is working properly and poses no danger to the end users and other employees.
- Service engineers also carry out periodic inspection on the vlm, diagnose faults, and rectify any fault that they find.
- They are expected to resolve any issues at the work site without interrupting the customer’s business or daily activities. This must be done effectively and in the shortest time possible.
- Service engineers have to repair and service all the vlm and equipment present in a company’s manufacturing unit
- They have to plan the servicing work in advance so the output of the factory is not affected by the service work
- They have to make detailed reports on all the work that is done on each VLM
