Qualifications – Graduate Engineering, BE, B.Tech/Computer Engineeer
Experience – 5+ years of experience (Manual + Automation) as QA Engineer or Senior Software Testing
Skills and Job Descriptions
Manual Testing & Quality Assurance
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach to testing
- Experience performing manual testing of web applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Perform comprehensive manual testing across our web applications, including both Angular and React-based components
- Execute functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing to identify defects and improve product quality
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test documentation
- Participate in user acceptance testing and validate requirements against delivered functionality
- Verify fixes and ensure changes do not introduce unintended issues
Release Testing & Support
- Support release testing efforts to help ensure product readiness for deployment
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to validate new features and bug fixes
- Execute smoke testing and post-deployment validation activities
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and release readiness to the team
Bug Management & Documentation
- Document and track defects in Jira with clear, actionable details
- Create detailed bug reports including reproduction steps, expected results, and actual results
- Use Jam.dev (or similar tools) to capture and communicate issues effectively
- Assist with bug triage and help prioritize issues based on severity and impact
Problem Solving & Collaboration
- Analyze features and workflows to understand expected behavior, even when documentation is limited or evolving
- Identify edge cases, user scenarios, and potential areas of risk
- Work independently to develop testing strategies and ensure appropriate coverage
- Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, customer support, and other stakeholders through Teams and other communication channels
Technical Qualifications
- Understanding of software testing principles, QA processes, and the software development lifecycle
- Ability to create clear, comprehensive test plans, test cases, and documentation
- Experience validating responsive web applications and cross-browser functionality
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for troubleshooting and debugging purposes
- Familiarity with Agile development environments
