Experience – 3 to 5 years of experience in Fabrication Engineer or Production Fabricator or Sheet Metal Manufacturing Engineers
Skills & Job Descripitions
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
- Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
- The Fabricator will be responsible for fabrication and welding process and some small labour work in factory.
- Grinding and finishing completed products.
- Plan, coordinate and implement repairs, modifications and improvements to manufacturing equipment and tooling
- Work closely with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Project Management and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may effect quality and delivery requirements
- Analyze requirements and make recommendations for facility systems, processes, training, equipment needs, engineering product designs and tooling and fixture for Fabrication
- Documentation of products through use of Bills of Materials, Routers, Value stream maps, Flow charts, spreadsheets drawings, videos or digital photos
- Oversee capital equipment and small tooling required for assigned manufacturing or quality area
- Develop and/or improve process automation of existing or new manufacturing processes
