Skills & Job Descriptions
- Dispense medications and other health care products to customers, as prescribed by a physician or other healthcare provider
- Valid license to practice pharmacy in the state
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Provide advice on the safe use of prescription drugs
- Ensure accuracy of prescriptions and provide advice on dosage and potential side effects
- Maintain records of customer prescriptions and provide information to other healthcare professionals
- Monitor inventory levels and order new supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
